New Vibration

by John Maksym

/

about

New Vibration is about how my fiancé lifts me up to a higher frequency in life. Everything we experience together, even challenges, deepens and strengthens our relationship. I remotely recorded it during the lockdown in 2020, reaching out to Nik Hughes (drummer of Bush), Fred Mascherino (The Color Fred, former Taking Back Sunday), Matt Rubano (former Taking Back Sunday), Chris Hurst (keys for Dustin Lynch), and Nicholas Keays (singer of The North River) to add incredible talent to a song that is incredibly important to me. A “Grease” inspired music video is in production.

LYRICS

You locked me up, eyes on you
What could I do?
We were innocent, whoa
Matter of time would prove
My life would undo
Couldn’t plan for this, no

Something brought our stars to align
The pull between us got magnetized
We’re running out of time
Everything on the line
What would happen if we tried?

You’ve got me living on a new vibration
There was something in our conversation
Tuned my frequency to you
There’s nothing we can’t do
Pod of peas and we are two
My vibration with you

You talked me up to your friends
Your family and then
There was tragedy that struck
Put our hearts to the test
Lest we forget
We’ve got angels up above

Something brought our stars to align
The pull between us got magnetized
We’re running out of time
Everything on the line
What would happen if we tried?

You’ve got me living on a new vibration
There was something in our conversation
Tuned my frequency to you
There’s nothing we can’t do
Pod of peas and we are two

You’ve got me living on a new vibration
There was something in our conversation
Tuned my frequency to you
There’s nothing we can’t do
Pod of peas and we are two
My vibration with you

We’ve got each other figured out (We got this! We got this!)
Yeah we’ve got something others don’t (We got this! We got this!)
We’ve got unwavering support (We got this! We got this!)
We’ve got vibrations to the core (We got this!)

Something brought our stars to align
The pull between us got magnetized
We’re running out of time
Everything on the line
What would happen if we tried?

You’ve got me living on a new vibration
There was something in our conversation
Tuned my frequency to you
There’s nothing we can’t do
Pod of peas and we are two

You’ve got me living on a new vibration
There was something in our conversation
Tuned my frequency to you
There’s nothing we can’t do
Pod of peas and we are two

New vibration, conversation
I tune my frequency to you
New vibration, conversation
I tune my frequency to you
I tune my frequency to you

about

John Maksym Kitchener, Ontario

Kitchener, Ontario-native John Maksym spent his childhood jumping on furniture, singing along to every Springsteen hit. He would don a red cape and pretend to be on the big stage, entertaining the masses. Fast forward and that kid has become a well-respected recording artist, songwriter, and performer—trading in his red cape for a fresh jacket, and hitting those big stages to entertain the masses. ... more
